## New sensor checklist

**Grillo Pulse and Grillo One**

1. [Get a Grillo Cloud account](/dashboard/account/creating-account) from your project invitation.
2. [Claim the sensor](/dashboard/sensors/adding-sensor) with its 12-character Device ID or the QR code on its label.
3. Follow the hardware guide for your sensor: [Pulse](/hardware/grillo-pulse) or [One](/hardware/grillo-one).
4. [Verify that it is online](/dashboard/sensors/sensor-status) in the sensor list.

**Grillo Slide**

1. [Fit the SIM and set the APN](/hardware/grillo-slide/sim-and-apn) on the base.
2. [Install the devices on site](/hardware/grillo-slide/installation) and let the base [survey its position](/hardware/grillo-slide/installation#survey-the-base).
3. [Check the first readings](/slide-cloud/sites-and-devices) at slide.grillo.io.

:::warning Check power before you connect a Pulse
Grillo Pulse runs from a 12 V DC supply. It cannot be powered from USB, and a powered USB cable can damage it. Contact Grillo Support if the supplied accessories do not match your order.
