Profile Settings

Manage your personal account information and preferences in your profile settings.

Accessing profile settings

  1. Log into cloud.grillo.io
  2. Click on your profile icon/avatar in the top right
  3. Select "Profile" or "Settings" from the dropdown

Profile settings

Personal information

Display name

Your name as shown to other users in your organizations.

  1. Navigate to Profile settings
  2. Find the "Display name" field
  3. Enter your preferred name
  4. Click "Save" to update

Email address

Your primary email for login and notifications.

Changing your email may require re-verification and could affect your sign-in method.

To change your email:

  1. Navigate to Profile settings
  2. Click "Change email"
  3. Enter your new email address
  4. Verify the new email via the link sent to it
  5. Your account will be updated

Profile picture

Add or change your avatar:

  1. Navigate to Profile settings
  2. Click on your current avatar or "Add photo"
  3. Upload an image (JPG, PNG recommended)
  4. Adjust cropping if needed
  5. Save changes

Preferences

Language

Set your preferred language for the dashboard:

  1. Navigate to Profile settings
  2. Find "Language" preference
  3. Select from available options
  4. Dashboard will update to your selected language

Timezone

Set your timezone for accurate event timestamps:

  1. Navigate to Profile settings
  2. Find "Timezone" preference
  3. Select your timezone from the dropdown
  4. All times will display in your selected timezone

Units

Set your preferred measurement units:

Notification preferences

Control how and when you receive notifications:

Email notifications

Notification typeDescription

To configure:

  1. Navigate to Profile settings
  2. Find "Notifications" section
  3. Toggle each notification type on/off
  4. Save changes

Connected accounts

View and manage connected authentication methods:

Viewing connected accounts

  1. Navigate to Profile settings
  2. Find "Connected accounts" section
  3. See which methods are linked (Google, Microsoft, email)

Adding a connection

To add an additional sign-in method:

  1. Click "Connect" next to the provider
  2. Authenticate with that provider
  3. The account will be linked

Removing a connection

Ensure you have at least one sign-in method before removing others.

  1. Click "Disconnect" next to the provider
  2. Confirm the action
  3. That sign-in method will no longer work

Account data

Exporting your data

To request an export of your account data:

  1. Navigate to Profile settings
  2. Find "Data & Privacy" section
  3. Click "Export my data"
  4. You'll receive an email with download link

Account deletion

To delete your Grillo account:

  1. Navigate to Profile settings
  2. Find "Danger zone" or "Delete account" section
  3. Click "Delete account"
  4. Confirm by typing your email/password
  5. Your account will be scheduled for deletion

Account deletion is permanent and will:

  • Remove you from all organizations
  • Delete your personal settings
  • Remove your data (after retention period)

This cannot be undone.

Session management

Viewing active sessions

See where you're currently logged in:

  1. Navigate to Profile settings
  2. Find "Sessions" or "Devices" section
  3. View list of active sessions with:
    • Device/browser type
    • Location (approximate)
    • Last active time

Signing out of sessions

To sign out of a specific session:

  1. Find the session in the list
  2. Click "Sign out" next to it
  3. That session will be terminated

To sign out of all sessions:

  1. Click "Sign out all devices"
  2. Confirm the action
  3. You'll be signed out everywhere (including current device)

Troubleshooting

Changes not saving

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Refresh the page and try again
  3. Clear browser cache
  4. Try a different browser

Can't change email

  1. Verify you own the new email address
  2. Check that the new email isn't already in use
  3. Contact support if issues persist

Profile picture not uploading

  1. Check file size (usually max 5MB)
  2. Use JPG or PNG format
  3. Try a different image
  4. Try a different browser
