Profile Settings
Manage your personal account information and preferences in your profile settings.
Accessing profile settings
- Log into cloud.grillo.io
- Click on your profile icon/avatar in the top right
- Select "Profile" or "Settings" from the dropdown
Personal information
Display name
Your name as shown to other users in your organizations.
- Navigate to Profile settings
- Find the "Display name" field
- Enter your preferred name
- Click "Save" to update
Email address
Your primary email for login and notifications.
Changing your email may require re-verification and could affect your sign-in method.
To change your email:
- Navigate to Profile settings
- Click "Change email"
- Enter your new email address
- Verify the new email via the link sent to it
- Your account will be updated
Profile picture
Add or change your avatar:
- Navigate to Profile settings
- Click on your current avatar or "Add photo"
- Upload an image (JPG, PNG recommended)
- Adjust cropping if needed
- Save changes
Preferences
Language
Set your preferred language for the dashboard:
- Navigate to Profile settings
- Find "Language" preference
- Select from available options
- Dashboard will update to your selected language
Timezone
Set your timezone for accurate event timestamps:
- Navigate to Profile settings
- Find "Timezone" preference
- Select your timezone from the dropdown
- All times will display in your selected timezone
Units
Set your preferred measurement units:

Notification preferences
Control how and when you receive notifications:
Email notifications
| Notification type | Description |

| Sensor offline alerts | When a sensor goes offline |
| Earthquake events | When events are detected (if enabled) |
| Weekly summary | Weekly activity digest |
| Security alerts | Login attempts, password changes |
To configure:
- Navigate to Profile settings
- Find "Notifications" section
- Toggle each notification type on/off
- Save changes

Connected accounts
View and manage connected authentication methods:
Viewing connected accounts
- Navigate to Profile settings
- Find "Connected accounts" section
- See which methods are linked (Google, Microsoft, email)
Adding a connection
To add an additional sign-in method:
- Click "Connect" next to the provider
- Authenticate with that provider
- The account will be linked
Removing a connection
Ensure you have at least one sign-in method before removing others.
- Click "Disconnect" next to the provider
- Confirm the action
- That sign-in method will no longer work
Account data
Exporting your data
To request an export of your account data:
- Navigate to Profile settings
- Find "Data & Privacy" section
- Click "Export my data"
- You'll receive an email with download link
Account deletion
To delete your Grillo account:
- Navigate to Profile settings
- Find "Danger zone" or "Delete account" section
- Click "Delete account"
- Confirm by typing your email/password
- Your account will be scheduled for deletion
Account deletion is permanent and will:
- Remove you from all organizations
- Delete your personal settings
- Remove your data (after retention period)
This cannot be undone.
Session management
Viewing active sessions
See where you're currently logged in:
- Navigate to Profile settings
- Find "Sessions" or "Devices" section
- View list of active sessions with:
- Device/browser type
- Location (approximate)
- Last active time
Signing out of sessions
To sign out of a specific session:
- Find the session in the list
- Click "Sign out" next to it
- That session will be terminated
To sign out of all sessions:
- Click "Sign out all devices"
- Confirm the action
- You'll be signed out everywhere (including current device)
Troubleshooting
Changes not saving
- Check your internet connection
- Refresh the page and try again
- Clear browser cache
- Try a different browser
Can't change email
- Verify you own the new email address
- Check that the new email isn't already in use
- Contact support if issues persist
Profile picture not uploading
- Check file size (usually max 5MB)
- Use JPG or PNG format
- Try a different image
- Try a different browser
